The Driver will provide courteous, safe and reliable transportation to guests, at the guidance of management, and to ensure arrival and departure times are being met. Driving a vehicle from one location to another, with frequent stops in which the Driver will be required to step out and assist with luggage, and/or parcels. The position entails constant guest contact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for safely driving guests to their destinations.
• Assist guests with lifting and transporting of luggage and parcels, and any inquiries.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch to ensure timely pickup of guests.
• Be conversational with guests without being too familiar, remembering that the Driver will be first and last impression for the guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and report any maintenance issues to the Conference Services Manager at the end of every shift as needed.
• Fuel vehicle after each time used.
• Must maintain good driving record and report any violations to the Conference Services Manager.
• Attend all required department and employee meetings.
• Properly record shift times and airport parking card balance.

Marginal Functions of the Position:

• Other duties as assigned by the Conference Services Manager or Benchmark Hospitality Management.
• Maintain awareness of unusual circumstances and report them to a manager.
• Become increasingly familiar with The Johnson Foundation corporate culture and key personnel.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous driving experience desired.
• Ability to read maps.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures of the road.
• Ability to drive in diverse road conditions.
• Pass a driving background check
