Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated In-House Service Specialist to join our remote team. This role involves executing field action remediation through remote deployment of software and firmware, device configuration, and performing related remediation tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service experience, and the ability to work independently during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
Execute remote field action remediation, including software and firmware deployment and device configuration in RSS.
Maintain accurate service ticket records and documentation, ensuring thorough follow-up on completed tasks.
Collaborate effectively with advanced support specialists and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Follow established procedures and processes within an FDA-regulated environment, contributing to continuous improvement.
Identify inefficiencies and eliminate non-value-added workflow steps to improve productivity.
Develop, update, and assist in the creation of process documentation, knowledge articles, and job aids.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to build rapport and address their needs.
Maintain reporting tools and tracking metrics to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Support peer training and development when required.
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, Healthcare, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of applied experience in a technical support or remediation role.
Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience deploying proprietary and standard software applications.
Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving complex problems using logical and analytical methods.
Experience with application/software packaging and deployment required.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, domain security, Remote Access tools (including Bomgar).
Knowledge of cloud computing, SQL, AD, Windows/Unix/Linux environments, and SQL scripting is a plus.
Prior experience with Pyxis is highly preferred.
Must be goal-oriented, adaptable, and effective in managing multiple priorities independently.
Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
