Learning Ladder Academy is a licensed early childhood education center located in Murfreesboro, TN. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and are committed to providing nurturing, developmentally appropriate care in a clean, stimulating, and safe environment. We follow TN Early Learning Developmental Standards (TN-ELDS) and DHS guidelines to ensure every child receives quality care and early education that prepares them for lifelong success. Duties Job Summary: The Lead Infant Teacher creates a warm, predictable, and nurturing environment where infants feel safe and secure. This teacher plays a vital role in supporting attachment, fostering developmental milestones, and partnering with families during a child’s first year of life.
Requirements - Maintain a clean, calm, and organized classroom with age-appropriate toys, soft lighting, and safety-approved furnishings.
- Implement individualized care routines including feeding, diapering, tummy time, and rest, tailored to each infant’s needs.
- Facilitate developmental experiences such as reaching, grasping, rolling, babbling, and mirror play .
- Provide daily documentation for families, including updates on milestones, mood, and routines.
- Ensure a safe sleep environment that aligns with DHS and AAP safe sleep guidelines (e.g., no blankets, infants placed on backs, cribs labeled).
- Maintain consistent routines and responsive caregiving to support emotional security and trust.
- Engage in gentle communication, music, reading, and sensory exploration.
Classroom Expectations: - Low ratios (1:4) and direct supervision at all times.
- Labeling of bottles, cribs, and diapering supplies.
- Daily sanitizing and documentation logs completed consistently.
Nice To Haves High school diploma or GED required
CDA in Infant/Toddler or TECTA Infant/Toddler completion required for Lead role
Minimum age: 21 years
One year of infant experience in a licensed center
Must pass fingerprint background check, physical, and TB screening
