**Pharmacy Technician II - Specialty Pharmacy** Location: 445 Castro Street, San Francisco, CA 94114 Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30AM-6PM Rate: 22.45 hour. W2 Type: Long Term Temporary assignment **Position Summary:** As a Pharmacy Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, specialty pharmacy, you will work with specialized and complex therapies that are delivered to patients. **Duties** : * Communication with patients, prescribers, and colleagues. Frequent phone conversations, emails, faxes. * Fulfillment of prescriptions, packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching financial assistance. * Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist. * Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports. * Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs. **Minimum Job Requirements:** * 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience in a mail order pharmacy, specialty orders or retail pharmacy. **Preferred Requirements:** * Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization. * Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. * Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus. **Education** : Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
