About this Role:

Under the administrative direction of the Quality and Health Equity Division Chief, the Quality and Health Equity Transformation Branch Chief is responsible for the administrative oversight of all aspects all quality improvement and health equity improvement activities and technical assistance across all Medi-Cal managed care, behavioral health and dental delivery systems as well as other quality improvement initiatives to achieve Medi-Cals vision for high-quality, equitable whole-person care for all of its members. The Branch Chief is responsible for overseeing all improvement activities related to member experience and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate care. The Branch Chief is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Quality & Health Equity Improvement Section and the Performance Improvement Section, implementing recommendations from External Quality Review Organization reports, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement. The PHMA I, is a member of the DHCS Management Staff and subject to the Department's Conflict of Interest Code and filing a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

Statement of Qualifications Requirement Section

Telework and Salary Information

This position is currently eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in person a minimum of two days per week. This position may be eligible for telework up to five days a week, contingent on operational business needs. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

The selected candidate will be assigned an available DHCS office closest to their residence prior to their start date. The selected candidate will be required to report to their assigned DHCS office and other DHCS locations as needed.

Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence, subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
