Description We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our team in Encino, California. This role involves managing comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, strategic thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities: - Review and prepare complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profits, estates, and trusts. - Develop and execute strategic tax planning initiatives tailored to clients across diverse industries. - Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of tax professionals, fostering their growth and development. - Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, maintaining accuracy and timeliness. - Represent clients effectively during federal and state tax audits and inquiries. - Stay informed on changes in tax laws and accounting standards, applying updates to client strategies. - Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide actionable advice to clients. - Collaborate with clients to address inquiries and provide solutions to complex tax-related issues. Requirements - Active CPA certification is required. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. - At least 5 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including preparing individual, corporate, partnership, non-profit, trust, and estate returns. - Proficiency in tax software such as Intuit Lacerte and QuickBooks. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply tax regulations effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members. - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. - A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
