Corporate Tax Manager

Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid Remote)

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in Jacksonville. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor a team, engage in sophisticated tax planning, and drive business development within a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is a direct path to a leadership position as a Partner or Managing Director in our firm.

As a key member of our corporate tax practice, you will work on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting. You will be the primary tax relationship holder for your clients, managing multiple engagements, and leveraging our extensive resources and specialist teams, including our Washington National Tax Office, to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct multiple client service teams, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of tax projects across various industries.

• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to a diverse client base.

• Lead business development efforts by leveraging your professional network to identify and sell services to both existing and new clients, meeting sales and revenue targets.

• Mentor, train, and develop staff, providing performance feedback and conducting reviews.

• Conduct primary and secondary reviews of complex corporate tax returns and ASC 740 income tax provisions.

• Research and consult on a wide range of tax matters, maintaining strong client relationships as the primary point of contact.

• Effectively manage engagement fundamentals, including realization, utilization, and accounts receivable.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-7 years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and/or consulting.

• A CPA or JD/active law license is required .

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A Master's degree in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD is preferred.

• Proven experience in public accounting , specifically with a top 15 accounting firm.

• Must have experience supporting large, multi-state/national/global companies.

• Strong technical skills in corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes .

• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and meeting revenue goals.

• Must be at a current experienced manager or senior manager level.

• Must be based in Chicago or willing to relocate to work in the office a minimum of two days per week.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software.

• Previous experience in professional services.

• A stable work history without frequent job changes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $140000 (Based in Florida only).

• Variable Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.

• Relocation: Nationwide relocation assistance is available.

• Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is a possibility for this position.
